Despite the weather, which wasn’t as bad as expected, there was a good turnout at the Almshouses Open Day. Mrs Annie Maw, Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, was welcomed by the hand bell ringers before embarking on a tour.
A steady stream of folk went up the Church tower to enjoy the views from the top.
Tea and cake were available in the Church along with music (Peter Harle on the organ; Janet Saxon singing and on the piano).
A number of stalls were set up both inside and outside the Church.
